Who is Jesus ?

At Easter, or Resurrection Day, this might be a good question to ask ourselves. For it will do us no good to celebrate Easter or accept the promise that comes with the resurrection if we are not sure who Jesus is.

In order to be an acceptable sacrifice for our sin, He had to be perfect. He could have no sin, spot or blemish. In order to be willing to be the sacrifice for our sin, He had to love us with Godly love.

So, who is Jesus? He is the only begotten son of the Father. He is the only one worthy to be called the Lamb of God. He is the only one who loved us while we were still sinners.

I just ran across a poem my daughter wrote when she was 13 years old. It gives a good answer to the question....

Who is Jesus ?

Who is Jesus?
He is the Son of God.
The Lamb of God.
The Word of God.

Who is Jesus?
He is the human form of God.
He is Christ.
He is the Holy Spirit.

Now Who do you say Jesus is?
I say he is King of Kings
and Lord of Lords.
